I wish the job interviews I will be taking in the future was just pushovers. I know some people mulling over several job offers, and that's not in the card for me at the moment. Although in-person interviews were mostly superseded by remote interviews. I'm sick of living on social security check. I pray every night that my unemployment period to be remitted. I've gone in for this on my own, but reality is harsh, I didn't expect this would be this difficult. I might need countermeasure against my financial crisis now. I shouldn't be procrastinating. Get the lead out!!
supersede 는 스펠링 잘 틀리기로 유명한 단어.. 보통 구식이 되어서 대체된다고 할 때 쓴다.
remit 은 뜻이 여러개가 있는데 연결이 잘 안된다. When the prisoners' family remitted $10,000 to the remit of the case detector, they his prison sentence was remitted to 2 years. 으로 외우는 수 밖에
live on 은 뭐에 의존해서 산다, 뭘 먹으면서 주로 산다(I more or less live on pasta) 할때 쓰는데 live off 라고 하면 빈대처럼 남을 뜯어먹고 산다고 한다.
get the lead out 은 lead 가 납덩어리라는 뜻으로 무거우니 빨리 떼라는 뜻에서 파생해서 만들어진 표현이라 한다.
