[영어단어] 배운 단어로 짧은 영작 (26) - run one ragged, play out, infringement

• run someone ragged 누군가를 매우 피곤하게만들다
• teed up 취한
• go back on something - 취소하다, 약속을 못지키다 (on one's word)
• keep someone down. 물리적으로/비유적으로 - 밑에 두다(우산 등)  못하게 하다(진로방해), 기분을 다운되게

• play out 끝까지 보다

He is a musician. Not all artist is like him, but he is always teed up and listening to something with his headphones. Once he was accused of copyright infringement, he's been showing his long face. Birds of a feather flock together, he has so many musician friends, and they came over and tried to keep his depression down getting roasted each other like usual, but failed. His dark energy ended up running them ragged. He's gone back on his word, and strated drinking again. One day a snippets of sounds that ceramic plates make scratching each other inspired his musical brain. Since then he began to work on his music and he's sure it's gonna be something. Let's see how it plays out. 

 

tee up 은 공을 치기좋게 올려놓는 것을 말한다. 슬랭으로 술이나 약에 취했다고 할 때도 쓴다.

- play out 여러가지 뜻이 있지만 스포츠 같은 경기들이 어떻게 되는지 끝가지 보자 할때 "see how it plays out" 한다. 볼드체를 그냥 통으로 외우면 된다. 

- snippet 은 주로 an interesting snippet, snippets of conversation, 등 으로 묶여서 쓰임

- keep somethign down 이 토하지 않고 음식물을 먹다라는 뜻도 있다 ... she couldn't keep anything down.
