1. Until and by

매일 헷갈리는 문법.. 차이는 "연속성"이다.

​until monday 는 월요일까지 뭔가가 계속 지속되는 것이다.

I'll be working until 11:30 이라고 하면 나는 11:29분까지 일하고 30분부터는 그만하겠다는 것. 가게 팻말의 closed uuntil Monday 는 월요일에 연다는 뜻

by monday 는 월요일 전까지 언제든지 될 수 있음. 예를들어 11월 20일 까지 숙제를 제출해라. 라고 하면 그 전에 언제든지 제출해서 완료될 수 있는 것.

2. On time , In time

​

-on time: 늦지않은 딱 맞는 시간. 제시간에

(반대되는 말은 late) Be on time! Don't be late!

-In time: 곧 (ex)I hope it arrives in time.

(반대되는 말은 too late)

* Just in time : We got to the station just in time for our train. 기차시간에 딱.맞.춰.서 기차역에 도착했다.

비슷한 전치사가 이렇게 사용되니 정말 헷갈린다. 

at the end of the month, at the end of the game etc

at the beginning of the- 는 반대되는 말

in the end= finally
