• plasticity - the quality of being soft enough to be changed into new shape
• pure and simple - 그 이상의 의미는 없다. (명사 뒤 콤마 붙어서 주로 쓰임)
• see the light - 전에는 잘 몰랐던 것, 헷갈렸던 것을) 이해하다, 깨닫다, 눈 뜨다
• Colloquial - 구어체
• set someone on - -를 - 로 공격하게하다.
• psyched up - 완전 준비된, 대비된 (자신감있게) 그래서 흥분된
• psych out - 기죽이다
• have half a mind to - (짜증나서) -하지 않겠지만 하고싶다.
• stood one up 바람맞히다
• take one off - 제거하다, 벗다, 죽이다, 떠나다

I gotta admit my new french date is very sardonic. I couldn't understand why she said she doesn't get along well with others, now I see the light and I can clearly tell. Once she really psyched me out when we were playing a colloquial french word game. She said it was just a game pure and simple and didn't mean anything, but well. Tomorrow we have a movie date and I have half a mind to stand her up. Then she will set her dog on me. Her loyal dog would do anything for her and he's always psyched up for anything like that. He took my shoes off when I first met him. She must've taken advantage of the young animal's plasticity.

 

psych out 은 특히 완전 자신감있는 공격적인 자세로 상대방 기를 죽인다는 그림을 그린다.

set on 은 공격하게하다 이런 뜻인데 Leave now or I'll set the dogs on you. 개가 너희를 공격하게 하겠다는 뜻이다.
